Annie, aka @phdinparenting, straddles life on the Quebec/Ontario border with her partner and two children. She shudders at the thought of being considered mainstream in parenting or in life and is always trying to recruit others over to the dark side. Annie is always looking for (and sometimes believes she has found) the 25th hour in the day as she balances running a business, having a family, and carrying on numerous conversations ranging from important to trivial on every social media site out there. Heather Chase is a peripatetic Canadian who is now based in New York after stints in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia with a continued awareness to support the local community and promote locally grown produce. She is in her 6th year as a food blogger and is getting her feet wet exploring all the nooks and crannies of the NYC food world. Danielle Donders, aka DaniGirl, is a blogger, photographer, mother of three and professional dilettante. She has been blogging about raising a family in Ottawa at Postcards from the Mothership since 2005. She has also been known to take a photo or two. In her spare time, Danielle also has a day job where she manages the social media channels for a big Canadian government department.
Kathy Driscoll loves her job as Training Director with New Media Manitoba, in which she gets to hang out with some of the smartest and most talented people in Winnipeg and design professional development opportunities for the province's flourishing interactive digital media industry. Her other passions include seeing the world with her tweenage daughter and oh-so patient husband, organic gardening in zone 3, scuba diving the Caribbean, actively exploring Manitoba's great outdoors, photography, and reading interior design and DIY blogs. Veronica Heringer is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Media Production at The RTA School of Media and is a multimedia professional, experienced in developing marketing strategies for TV, radio, print, and online platforms. In the past, Veronica has worked as a TV programmer and producer at Telecine Network and Playboy Brazil. Most recently, she worked as a Digital Strategist at Tribal DDB, as well as at the Vancouver Latin American Film Festival. She is a declared social media junkie and has been blogging since 2004. Brit gal Liz Hover works as digital media manager for the National Screen Institute – Canada (NSI). Liz has been named one of the world's top 125 fearless female bloggers and has taught social media marketing workshops and provided website critique to producers, entrepreneurs, publishers, and many others across Canada for several years. Liz’s dog, Sadie Shih Tzu, writes a blog which was nominated for three Canadian Weblog Awards in 2010.
Jes is the mind behind the Canadian entertainment blog XOXO Jes. On any given day you may find her wandering the streets of downtown Calgary deep in thought as she attempts to figure out the answer to life's greatest question, "How might one get paid to be awesome?" This description may have you thinking she is one part blogger and one part busker, but be assured that she has a real job. Whit1423, aka miss hyper-typer, is accustomed to sleepless nights and good caffeine supplements. Contrary to the fact that this norm would pretty much qualify her to make a good vampire, she refuses to let go of her sanity. Instead, she spends her time sifting through the endless thoughts that race through her brain (soul) at more than 55 billion miles an hour every single day.
